Submission Guidelines
We would like to invite teachers and education students to publish
their work on our website. There is no payment for your work; we aim to
facilitate the free and open exchange of ideas.
There is also no fee for accessing the work we publish.
What we are looking for:
- Project-based and/or inquiry-based lesson plans
- Rubrics with objective scoring criteria
- Protocols for teaching strategies
- Complete expedition or unit plans
- Plans that integrate subject areas (i.e. science writing)
- Reflections on the use/success of the work you are
submitting
- Annotated bibliographies related to a topic of study (i.e.
books on the Holocaust)
- Professional development protocols and resources
What we are not really looking for:
- Worksheets
- Tests
- Lecture-based lessons
- Anything that's traditional drill-and-kill
To submit your work, please email it as an attachment in Word document
format or pdf to ferrencys@mail.ssd.k12.ak.us.
I recommend acknowledging yourself inside your document, by using a
byline or footer with your name, date, and school. Please also include
any info you want included in the description of the resource, as well
as a general grade level. All work must be completely original-- I'm
just a teacher and I don't have time to secure permission to reprint
materials. It is fine to make reference to the use of already published
materials; be sure to be complete in citing those sources. Links to
already-published materials are also appreciated, especially if you
have found them useful.
Thank you so much for checking out our website and thinking about
submitting your work! I can't wait to hear from you.
